join a facebook group without letting anyone know I joined?

Theres this group thats open and I notice that peoples news feeds informs you if someone joined a group. This is an open group btw so people will see I joined...how do i keep that from happening...ynow, letting people know I joined
its a bi group, no one knows am bi, i dont want them to know
what I dont want people to see is the fact that I joined this group in their news feed.
Cuz I saw in my news feed that someone joined a certain group and I dont want that to happen to me

You Cant The Only Thing you Can Do is Add Someone to the Restricted List But Than They Wont Be Able to See Any of your Posts

The only 100% sure is if the group is a secret group.
People can find out easily (by searching it) what close & open group you're member of; FB however don't inform this in your friends Newsfeed as far as I know.
However, if you join an open group, your post/comment might be seen in your friends' Newsfeed, and for sure it shown in their Close Friends list if they put you there.
