what am i going to use the the ipad mini for
1) games
2) apps like facebook, twitter, and some other cool apps
3) very little photos

With retina. It has the a7 so better performace for games plus retina which means hi-def games.

The retina screen looks much much better, and it's also got a faster processor. Unless you really want to save money you should get the retina.
