Why do girls have more facebook friends than boys?

I'm a guy and I have little over 200 friends, most guys from my school have about 200-500 and I know none that has 1,000. But girls usually have at least 300 friends, I know some that have well over 1,000 friends.

I go on facebook about 1-3 times a week, and I have less than 10 profile pictures and I upload a new picture about every 3 months, I guess most other guys are the same.

But most girls go on facbook more than once a day, and some have hundreds of profile pictures, and I know many girls that change their profile picture every single day. I think girls just have a high amount of friends because they are insecure and crave attention or something like that, I don't care about how many people are paying attention to me.

I'm guessing Boys arn't interested in that kinda stuff as much as Girls Are.

Girls have different interests then some other guys.
I think girls are more active in these kind of sites, and more interested than guys are.
I honestly cant go a day without going on it.

haha 1st of all i have 130 friends. and i know a lot of guys that have about 700 friends.
2nd. most guys arent into facebook. they much rather go do other things than be on the comp.
3rd. maybe most guys go o myspace more than facebook? i have a lot more guy friends on myspace than i do, facebook. some of the guys i know are just now getting a facebook when they had a myspace for like 3 years.
