I want to close down my Facebook account.?

go to settings, general then deactivate.

Right go to account settings and then security then right at the bottom it should say "deactivate this account" click that.

Edit: Don't Log in again for the next 14 days because you will reactivate it, after the 14 days your account will be completely deleted.

I'm pretty sure you can't actually completely delete it, but you can deactivate it by going into account settings and you can deactivate it from there and if you ever decide you want it back just go to the log in page and log in. Then it will be re-activated.
