Kin 2m social media problem?

But it's advertised to look like this: https://encrypted-tbn1.google.com/images...kCERx0wGr. Anybody know how to make it look like that?

You are looking at two different phones: the Kin TwoM and the Kin Two respectively.

The phone you are looking at in the one picture with the social media stuff on it is the "Kin Two"..... had Facebook, Twitter... it was all cloud based along with storage. It was a total flop so they "killed the cloud" (Jan 2011), cutting off all the social media apps.

Later they took all the old Kin Two's and loaded a new OS on them with the social media apps deleted.... making it a phone with just a few features on it....a "feature phone".... the Kin TwoM.... that's what you got.

You can make the phone load the old "Kin Two" OS...(its a couple of buttons you push at boot... forget which ones but its on the web).... but you don't want to do that....its a hard erase so all you data will be gone... and all the apps don't work... you will just be looking a bunch of dead screens.
