Adding a guy on Instagram...?

How would a guy feel if I added him on Instagram after being in summer camp with him, but adding him now 5 months later? I have seen him around (he plays in a jazz band connected to my orchestra...) but we never really spoke. I do have a crush on him, which is why I want to add him, it's not just to add more people and have more followers. But like what would be his thought process? And if you're a girl answering would you do this? I'm 17 btw

Im a guy and I would think nothing of it. I would say oh i remember her she's pretty funny smart etc and not think to much about it don't stress over this just do it!
