I'm having a specific instagram problem with somebod who's account is private?

This girl let me follow her account one night but then the next day I wasn't following her and when I pressed the follow button on her account it says requested for a second then says follow again. And her follower counter drops by one every time I press follow. Also the instar am "help" center doesn't help at all
