Is not Facebook's locations feature hackable and dangerous?
I hear stalkers, dangerous criminals, rapists etc can hack into our accounts, use this to locate one and execute crimes, has anyone heard anything of this horrible nature yet or is this a rumor?

I wouldn't be super worried about Facebook. I'm worried about Google's facial recognition program. They announced it, they're setting up a world-wide facial recognition program. Huge organizations like Privacy International have been really vocal about this being hostile to personal privacy (it'll be WAY easier for stalkers, perverts, and abusive spouses to track the whereabouts of specific women and children) and the US government is fighting against it because it'll allow criminals to find out right away if someone is an undercover fed.
But Google doesn't give a damn, they'll collect as much data about everyone as they can, and they can legally sell your contact information to advertisement agencies who will contact you endlessly.
It's so stupid, in Google's defense, the CEO said "if you don't want everyone to know something about you, you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place" ... like that makes it their right to exploit someone's personal life.
It's really creepy too! He also said that "If I look at enough of your messages and your location, we can use artificial intelligence and predict where you are going to go. Show us a photo of yourself and we can identify who you are."

Anyone's account on any site can get hacked if the hacker is persistent enough.

That's why you should have a very strong password.

However it has been shown that most hacking is done by close family members or friends because they know the individual. Also they are able to answer security questions to obtain passwords like "What is your Mother's maiden name?" or "Where were you born?" etc.
