New mobile phone help?

Right someone please help ... i'm 25 and have no idea in the sense of what is a good functional 2011 mobile phone! I have always had an A) a pink phone and 2) a slide phone and there is none on the market (well decent new ones anyway!) what the hell should i actually be looking for in a new mobile phone?
I would like a phone i can access facebook, twitter, google, yahoo and maybe a touch screen, but i like having buttons! ( oh i dont like the blackberry torch phones!) etc but i also want a functional phone with great apps and a good memory! any ideas?
ps my current phone is a sony t715, thats my style just a crap old phone now!!
