Why am I getting so many unrealistic profile images from girls on dating sites?

Ok so I posted on a dating site Facebook page "add me" but it seems like a lot of fake profiles are adding me. By fake I mean suspected to be fake. I google up their picture and I see them as somewhat celebs.

Why do people have to waste their time making fake profiles anyways?

There are a lot of trolls out there for their own sick amusement. There's many even on this site! It's just how they are.

Are you using the right site? If it's an ad from fb, then that's not the right site. Go to okcupid. It's a free dating site and I haven't seen too many fake profiles. I used to use the site and it was not bad, local people sometimes have mutual friends as you on fb so you actually have more of a connection part of the time when you're on that site.

I don't know why this only keeps girls from getting in touch with them, then again some of these people post fake profiles for scam.
