An instant messaging program from AOL. Very similar to Yahoo!Messenger. It was very popular in the early 2000's.

AOL Instant Messenger, stuff of obsoletion from current days of entire site like Facebook, the idea isn't that far from text messaging for the Internetting crowd. You install an app and sign up for AIM, ICQ, MSN IM, and few small players.

AIM is a old ass chat site less like twitter and fb we have now more like texting in a way except instant lol. you pretty much have to, have friends with aim also and its like a yahoo messenger were you add your friends and you chat with them, by typing now we have skype and facetime who needs AIM. not to mention you have to have friends with it for it to be of use you cant just find random people if your looking for something like that, were you can chat with random people use yahoo messenger
