What's the point of adding someone as a friend on facebook?

Stalking them and feeling bad about your life. Jk, but really, Facebook is just a way for people to show off how awesome their lives are. C'mon everybody does it. I do it. Adding people just makes it official that you two know each other, and for saying happy birthday, I mean if they are only acquaintances like you say. Maybe you'll need a favor from them someday, maybe you'll become great friends, who knows.

Cause that's what it's for, it's the throw-away email of the modern age. You call, txt and hang out with your real friends. The rest and fam get facebooked so you can ignore them or let them have a chance to move up without you having to put in an effort. Sad, but true.
