how can i make some of my profile pictures private?

i know that every picture has the edit button and has the privacy button for "only me, friends, public"
right now, all of mine are set as "only me" so nobody can click on my pictures.. but i want to make just a couple of them public.. so i set those 2 pictures to "friends" so my friends can see it, and left the rest as "only me" but when i go to view my profile as one of my friends, i now see all my profile pics..not just the 2 i selected.

am i doing something wrong?

There should be an "allowed on timeline" button above the comment section, if you select it, an option saying "hide from timeline" will appear.

go to your timeline and open it and click on photo then when you get to your albums and click on your pictures on the right side on the top thats under your picture on there you click on word edit will be next to the small empty square box where you type something . there you want to change to view "only me" then click save . there none of your facebook friends cant view any of the albums . but if you had tag or post any of your other photos to your friends already. then you need to go to their timeline profiles and click on their albums pictures to make sure that you didnt tag any of your pictures to them. because if you had tagged it onto their albums then she or he still can see it and other people can view it on their albums if they had place their pictures (albums ) on public and that how other people can see what other friends had send them . for to removed the pictures from their albums is click on the photos that on their walls or inside their albums page unclick by untag the photo to be removed it from theirs profiles. after it been removed then none of them will have the pictures of you no longer.

ps. if you want more information about pictures on facebook. you can go click on the upper right corner on facebook homepage click on the icon look like ( *) on the right upper corner of the page click that there you can scroll down the menu click on word help there they will have a small box where you can type in whatever you need to help with..
