How do I help a heart broken friend from far away?

So a friend of mine is going to school in another state. About 2000 miles away so the only way we keep in touch is electronically I.e. Texting, calling, Facebook, etc. recently she broke up with her boyfriend(who used to be a buddy of mine) of several years because it was an unhealthy relationship. Now it's been almost 2 weeks later and she is still heartbroken. She gets dramatic and sometimes won't respond or participate in a conversation. I feel helpless, and I don't know what to do, she is almost 19, I am almost 21. Not sure if that is relevant but I'll throw it out there.

I doubt you can do anything effective from far way. Tell her that you might come to visit her soon. Chat with Skype. Ask her to watch some new series maybe. Just try to get her mind off her bf, and focus it on something different.
