Is my husbands female friend trying to be with him?
One of my husbands friends is a female that he has known since they were in high school. At one point in time before me he had feelings for her but she turned him down and they remained friends. I never had a problem with her until recently. She all of a sudden started telling him that she loves him and gives me looks when were are all out with a group of friends and she has her arm around him and gets a picture with him. She has put posts on her Facebook page about how she wishes she could be with a non option but never mentions who. She also said that the guy knows who he is but it doesn't matter because he never really gets on his Facebook anyway. My husband doesn't really get on his Facebook page and she knows that. I completely trust my husband but it is her that I don't trust. I am not the type of person to give ultimatums and I am not about to start now. My husband knows all of this and neither of us is sure what to do and how to approach this situation. We don't want to say or do anything that would ruin their friendship but we would like to know if she is trying to be with him and ruin our marriage. Any help or advice would be great.

"We don't want to say or do anything that would ruin their friendship..." Ummmm, the other lady has already done this for you. Best advice would be to have your husband talk with said friend. It is clearly obvious to you and your husband that she wants more than a friendship, which is unacceptable. Being friends is not longer an option.
Be blunt and tell her to stop. Discontinue contact with her. She’ll get the hint… Ads |

distance yourself and tell your husband to de friend her! he wouldn't like it if you had a guy friend who did this. you have each other and that should be enough

It seems to me, B, like there are red flags everywhere.
I found an online broadcast on "Friendship or Flirtation" that gives some good advice on situations like this. If you are interested and think it may be helpful, here are the links: http://bit.ly/1hXSUUM http://bit.ly/1esLdDK Along those same lines, here is an article that discusses Emotional Affairs and how to avoid them: http://bit.ly/1g3m8Aa Blessings! |
