Facebook SMS notifications ? Need help ?

I get notifications to my cell phone. Can I send a new message to somebody on my phone without replying to it? Like Send To: ____ . Or Do I have to compose only thought internet? -- & Another question: When my friend sends me a message on facebook it doesn't send me a notification. But when other people message me I get a notification from them, but not from this certain person. Could it be because that he is not on my friend list?

You may have chosen the option to only get notifications from friends, so you wouldn't get notifications when you get messages from non-friends,groups, and/or events

To send some a message send :msg their name then the message for example msg jane doe how have you been would send a message to Jane Doe that says how have you been
