Should I get the iphone 5 or galaxy s4? I'm so indecisive....?

I have the droid x right now and I haven't upgraded for 3 years. It's so slow now that I need a new one very soon for my sanity's wellbeing. Which phone should I get? What I use my phone most for is texting, social media (ex. instagram, facebook, twitter, etc.), and taking pictures, and music (if my phone wasn't so slow). I like that the iphone has itunes, because I always like to listen to music, but I just don't know. What do you think?

Ive had both iPhones and smartphones so from experience Ive picked up a few things. The galaxy is a lot more customizable & lets just say well, amazing ! There are so many features and the cool things like watching youtube while you text & moving wallpapers and all that jazz...but that also comes along with glitching. The reason I am now an apple user is because of the quality. Yes it's less customizable and doesn't do as much but its reassuring knowing you have a one year warranty through apple where you can send it in or you can take it to the store. My iPhone rarely glitches and provides for me what needs to be done so your decision is really would you rather have a super cool customizable phone, or a phone that has good quality and is likely to last longer . IPhones use iTunes obviously but there is still a way to download music for free just as the galaxy does. I use my phone for the same purposes as you and my iPhone does the job well done, but if you're looking to show off cool things to your friends and multitask then go with the galaxy. Personally I also believe iphone takes better quality pictures and videos.

Samsung Galaxy S4 is better than the iPhone 5, but get the HTC One. Its $50 cheaper than the s4 and is a lot better and doesn't glitch up as much. It runs android and has google play which has just as much music as iTunes. Plus you can get apps to download free music with android.

S4. The iPhone may look cooler, but the S4 is jam packed with features.

Let's compare the two according to your needs:

Instagram: the S4 has a bigger screen and better camera with more filters and options. The Super AMOLED screen is way better than any iPhone screen.

Taking pics: See above.

Music: iPhone has iTunes, so S4 has Google Play.

Facebook, Twitter: I guess the two phones are tied here, but bigger screen on the S4 calls for better viewing.
