how to delete fake facebook profile!?

I just found a fake profile of me on facebook and i clicked report. I then proceeded to fill out all the drop down menus, but for some reason, everytime i put the URL in were it says "link" and then click submit, it says for me to put a URL in even though I did!! does anyone know how to fix this and delete the imposter? Also, Ive heard rumors that facebook doesnt fix these problems for months or even years. is this true? thanks

i had the same problem once. i tried deleting mine, but I couldn't figure out how to, so I just erased all my information on it, even my name, and just left it alone. And later, created a new one set private.

If you want to delete your profile, find the "Facebook account termination" link and delete the account. You can find it by searching on Google or for "delete Facebook account" group.
