How do I chat with Facebook friends on Windows Live Messenger?

I just decided that I want to start using Windows Live Messenger and was interested in integrating it with my Facebook chat so that I wouldn't have to leave both open. I've followed all of the steps to connect my Facebook to my Windows Live Messenger. I've checked the "Chat with Facebook Friends" box, and clicked "Allow" after logging in to Facebook. I've waited nearly half and hour for the changes, but, still, my messenger says "You don't have anyone in your contact list." Is there a reason that the people listed as Online on my Facebook chat aren't showing up in my contact list?
