How can I promote myself in an effective way?
My album is coming out on August 2nd. I have a very loyal following, so I know they'll buy it. And I'm very grateful for that. :]
But, how do I get more people to find out about me?
I have twitter, facebook, youtube, reverbnation, bandcamp, a personal website, etc. I just don't know how to get out there more. My goal right now is getting more followers in my area, so that when I do shows and such, I'll have people to come out and watch.
Any suggestions? I don't wanna spam the sh!t outta people, but I do want to get noticed. And, it seems that everyone in the world is a "musician." I want to stand out though.
Thanks <3
It's not really that simple, love.
There are many people out there with talent who never become famous.

Having a signature/logo that would help a lotSmile You could then get that logo/symbol/signature on t- shirts and sell them. Check out Lisa Scinta's page on Facebook, she is a great singer and has her name on shirts she is currently trying to sell. If you go to her page it may point out what company she got the shirts done at.
If you don't like that idea, you could do live ustream videos one specific day every weekSmile Lots of people love those. Inform all your followers on your websites/pages about it. You would also get more followers from ustream. There are other live video sites that you could find and do something similar to thisSmile
Good Luck! Sounds like you have an exciting future ahead of you!!

Wear shirts or hats with your name on them or make a big poster of yourself and put it somewhere where a lot of people will see to make yourself look official. Also, try hanging out in more areas with less "musicians". You will stand out a lot more if you aren't in a big city.
