so what's your question? Everyone has an idol and people have different opinions when it comes to music. The fact that it was never confirmed that he is a peado or not is a different thing. People make jokes, pretty sure you have made a joke about someones appearance or sexuality or something like that.

He had a disease. People hate difference. He lost his childhood to being in a band. People take advantage of people, and did that to him. He sought to get his childhood back, getting awesome stuff, that even I would want. (Why wouldnt you want a merry go round!?) He was soft spoken, and from an early time was a popularized broken soul. He got plastic surgery, because he wanted to look like the white dude he now was, taking the black features. Of course, like anything you can get addicted to, plastic surgery is one.

His handicaps gave him strength, and I wouldn't doubt why you would say he is an inspiration. Because he was! A man from an early age, with amazing talent, despite the pain and suffering through his life, managed to revolutionize the largest genre in current music! Like elvis, the king of rock/roll, bob marley, king of reggae, he will always be the king of pop. He was a great man.

Not sure what your question is, but you have every right to admire Michael Jackson as a truly great artist and entertainer. I don't think very many people would argue that he was one of the best this world has ever known. Unfortunately, he had a very troubled personal life that often overshadows all the great things he did in the music and entertainment industry. Since he has passed away, and unable to defend himself, I think it is unfair of your friends to criticize him for those personal mistakes.

You should be happy that you can understand Michael and see him for who he really was : an amazing human being. You should tell your friends that a person isn't recognized for the amount of surgeries that he had (although Michael had very little as opposed to the popular belief that he had "many"), but for the kind of work that they did. Michael was a great humanitarian, tell your friends about how he sang for the world and highlighted so many issues unlike other pop artists. And that all those things that they say was fabricated by the media to destroy a brave man who dared to sing about so many social issues. IF they still don't listen to you, don't react much but just tell them how you are sorry that they can't see MJ as an inspiration because he really was.

And don't cry.

Imagine how Michael felt when he had to deal with all this. Yet he stayed strong. As a fan you should be strong as well. Smile
