How do I edit my Facebook notifications feed settings?

I'm not talking about notifications in general. On the top left of the Facebook page, there's the earth icon that shows how many new notifications you have when you login. If you have new notifications, it will show red with the number of new notifications you have.

The problem is I'm getting dual notifications now. I get e-mails when people comment on stuff, but when I login I also get notifications on the little red earth. I changed the settings for the little earth somehow, but I can't remember where I did it and now I want to get it back to how it used to be.

How do I edit what notifications I get from the little red earth?

Easy, go to your homepage, then click the thing for notifications, it will go into a drop down menu, click see all notifications, when the page loads, along the right side will be how you change it.
