How to get rid of unwanted notifications in yahoo mail?

My husband's yahoo mail has been bombarded with facebook notifications of comments on status,etc. when he doesn't even have a facebook account.We think someone used his yahoo ID.How do we put a stop to it?Password changes don't help at all.(No, he's not being sneaky,this is a real problem).

The notifications have to be coming from a facebook account that was created with
the email address. Unless you can access that facebook account, you cannot turn off
the notifications.
But, you can try this.
Open email........go to Inbox......check off all Facebook notifications....
click on Spam tab at top of emails....

You may have to do this several times over several days before all such notifications
are automatically directed to the Spam folder.
