How can I retrieve friend's private messages to me identified as spam by Facebook?

My friend and I had a private conversation then the following day, I checked the message history. All of his messages were marked as "This message is no longer available because it was identified as abusive or reported as spam." if logged in from computer. It is blank when in mobile view. Now, I don't know if he is deactivated, was banned, was hacked, or what because I can't click his profile but his profile picture still appear on my inbox but his messages were removed.

How can I retrieve it? It is so important! And why did Facebook identified it as spam? There were no foul words there. I'm so disappointed. Please help me! Help! Thank you!

After your friend can clean his account from the spam (reported it), the past message will reappear.
