facebook app for phones?

Hi i am just wondering how come facebook apps for phones are different?
on my LG Viewty clicking the app i downloaded is just the same as typing facebook into the search, but on my wifes blackberry pearl the app downloaded takes her to facebook and it has a really good interface, but if she browses to facebook she gets a crappy interface.
i just get the crappy interfaces when i browse there and when i click my app.
Why dont i get the good interface??????

Her blackberry probably has an actual app written for it. Your LG is probably just getting some generic JavaME app. You can search for a specific app for your phone, but there are tons of 3rd party facebook apps that are super sleek.
