Facebook messenger app?

Last night, I tried sending a message using the facebook messenger app on my ipod touch. This morning, I checked to see if the person responded, and next to the message was a red exclamation point. I clicked on it and it disappeared. Does that mean my message sent or should I try it again?

likely messages fail through the messenger app -.- so it means you should try resending it becuase the person never got the message you sent them
