Girls, do you ever just not read messages from guys?

On an iPhone, I've noticed this girl hasn't read my texts. It says the iMessage is 'delivered' but hasn't been showing as read for the last five days. I've sent a couple more because she told me she was going to get in touch when she got back on the Friday from a long drive during the holiday season (heavy traffic coming back into the city). So obviously I'm worried... Maybe she crashed? I don't have her on facebook and there has been no way to tell (she lives five mins away so I cruised by and noticed her lights were on but maybe the flatmates put them on?)

I texted: 'are you alive? two days after she was supposed to get in touch (after sending her a nice message the day before) but now I'm thinking if she is reading them she probably thinks I'm overly concerned. Do you think she has turned delivery notifications off and is still reading texts? Or do you think she probably is just ignoring them for some reason? I can't fathom it because it seemed like she was really keen to get in touch.
So I just sent one today about an hour ago following up the are you alive one yesterday (this is the longest text I've sent the other ones have all been pretty short)

'Just worried because you said you had a long drive and that you'd text when you got back on Friday but there was no message. worried something might've happened to you... but then again your phone could be playing up! I hope you have a great NYE! See you next year call or text when you get this tell me if you have any plans coming up! there is a cool movie showing in the city that's got pretty good reviews I thought we could see!'

There could be heaps of reasons why she's not replying. But I think the best choice would be to actually visit her and find out what's going on. Yes I do read messages.
