To file a police report on someone do I have to go to tbe city the abusive person lives?

I need to file a police report and restraining order on my Ex's wife because she has been posting threats against me on Facebook and instagram. I don't live in the same city she lives though, do I have to go to the police department located in the city she resides? Or can I go to my local police department and do it there?

If she is making threats against you but lives in a different city and police departments jurisdiction then you go to the police departments jurisdiction. where she is making the threats from
