What is a really cheesy way to ask out a girl?

So I'm a girl, and next week we have this very formal dance coming up, and me and my friend decided to go together. I really want to ask her to it in a really cheesy way. Not too difficult to do and preferably over facebook; so i can write on her timeline etc.

If you've already decided to go together than why the need to invite them.
But if you're just looking to make a funny statement by doing something different and "cheesy", I have a suggestion.
If you are both girls, how about taking a photo of yourself wearing a man's suit, offering to go as her date.
THAT would be something probably nobody else your age would have the courage to do...
