Facebook liking pages?

I know that there are some websites that allow you to "like" Facebook pages from them. I mean you are signed in to Facebook but the "liking" actually happens on another site. Is it safe to use such websites? How does it work?

It's basically places for you to create "likes" on so that they can become popular easily. They are perfectly safe (or at least the many ones I have used are). They make likes become popular because if you've clicked on one you'll notice that you see many other likes, whereas on the actual Facebook pages you only see the likes that you search for unless they've been liked by other people. This allows your "like" to become much more visible to the general public so if it's good more people will like it. Hope I helped.

They are just as safe as using Facebook is. They use Facebook plug-ins such as "like boxes", "comments" etc. These pages are connected to Facebook through something called Open Graph protocol. My favourite ones are: FBCatalog.com and Likeulous.info
