What's going on with facebook?

I know there is privacy issues with facebook and disclosing information to third parties, but I don't quite understand what they are doing with personal information. What is facebook doing that is so bad? What information are they, or can they disclose without the users permission? What information are they disclosing to third parties? What can I do to protect my information? Thanks for the help.

not directly facebook but some of it's users can find your personal information and use them in a bad way to take under control of your bank account and so much bad things like this

When you signed up to facebook and put your details in you would have agreed to their privacy policy, i suggest you read that because, they can do whatever is listed in there.

dont worry. they dont do any bad. They use information like birthday and sex to filter advertisements. so it will show ads which are only useful to your age group.

and CIA have access to info to check up on terrorist activities.

so its nothing to worry about. rumors arent true always
