Hair looks horrible. Help!?

I tried a heatless waves method yesterday which is braiding. I braided my slightly damp hair into a fishtail braid and go to sleep. The next day when I loosen the braids, they looked like more to frizz rather than waves! I hate it. My hair is naturally straight but my ends are curved up. My hair is also fine and I'm an Asian. I don't perm or colour my hair. Can anyone help me to get bettet heatless waves rather than frizz?

they first give you curls wait and hour you have waves its absolutely amazing
