Got an interview next week - what to say to current work?
Current work in Manchester, Interview location in London.
I can't request a holiday as normally i need to give at least 2 weeks prior to holiday... Do i just take a sick leave and pretend i'm ill? or Just not go into work? Can i request a new interview date? (that will not go down too well will it...) Ads |

Well obviously you can't ask off to apply for another job, they would not like that lol. If you can't take a personal day then sadly deception and a lie is your only recourse. Call in sick, then make the interview, but be prepared for getting caught as things happen. Do not just not show up for work. You could find yourself fired for job abandonment and then if you don't get the other job you are in a pickle. Do not tell coworkers what you are doing, none of them. One idiot spilling your business and you are in trouble. And stay off social media when you travel to the interview.
