facebook notifications?

i get notifications when i sign onto facebook for random things like "find your friend of the day" and "what does your name mean" and "create your own quiz" and so on. how can you choose which apps you want to get notifications for and which ones you dont want. (i dont mean email notifications, i know how to do that)

Go to settings, to the notifications part, and then tick/untick the box you don't wish to have the notification in.
