How do I make facebook stop sending notifications to my email?
I made my facebook years ago and I've never been able to figure out how to stop the constant flow of notifications to my email. It started to get out of hand (the email i use for facebook currently has over 7000 unread emails which are all notifications) so i made a new email just for me to use for normal stuff. now i have an iphone and i still use my original email occasionally so my phone beeps everytime i get a stinkin facebook notification. it clutters everything, how do i make it stop?!?!

lol… actually, you don't have to make a new email.

Simply go to your Account (on the top right) > Account Settings > then go to "Notifications" tab > uncheck all the checkboxes unless you want facebook to send you notification email for a particular even.

After all, click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom. Now you won't get any other email notification from facebook again.

Notification emails from any site will include a link to unsubscribe the notification. Simply you just have to find that link in the email. Example like facebook notification email, on the bottom, it says: The message was sent to [...your email…] If you don't want to receive these emails from Facebook in the future, please follow the link below to unsubscribe. […the link to unsubscribe the notification here…] Facebook, Inc. P.O. Box 10005, Palo Alto, CA 94303

You should have read it instead of making new email…… I hope you may learn from it.

Cheers!
