Facebook Privacy Question!?

Okay so, I don't know what to do. My facebook is completely private to the public, i have checked from other people's and all you can see is my name and profile photo. But my ENTIRE facebook can be seen by anybody who has mutual friends with me. All of my photos, posts, all my info and everything can be seen. I have no idea what to do. I've tried updating my privacy settings but nothing works. what is going on? Please help!
one answer i got is for the old facebook, im talking about the new timeline facebook. please help!

This is simple.
Go to "Account" which is located in the top right corner.
On the drop down menu click "Privacy Settings"
It will direct you to a page where there is a list of what you share with others.
Select "Customize settings"
When you see "Posts by me" which includes your posts, status updates and photos, click on the button on the right of it.
There you can choose from: Everyone, Friends of Friends, Friends Only and Custom; which is basically where you can choose selected people to hide your posts from or make available to only some people.
In your case Select: Friends Only
Save and then your done

Go to on your photo by timeline.>click to right part of over photo you can see pencil icon>click to edit or remove>click to hide from timeline. Now nobody see your such photos. If you want to show your photo again you can change your setting by inhos 'activity log'
