If you get no better answer, since I don't directly use Photostream or Instagram
1. In the Photostream (or Camera Roll), tap Edit in upper right, tap the various photos you want to up load, tap Share in lower left, if you have the Instagram app, it will appear on the list of share destinations, select that.
or
2. In the browser, go to Instagram and select Upload and go to Photostream (or Camera Roll) and get the ones you want.
