Why is it people with over 800 friends remove me on facebook?

I personally don't know these people, or I have spoke once or never at all. I've noticed some people when I first added them on facebook asked who I was so I think a lot of the time people seem to have forgot me from school. But does anyone else get removed by people with over a thousand friends?
P.s I update my status twice a month if anything and don't post annoying stuff.
