No, I doubt it. Right now there's no proof that he personally did anything wrong.

In cases like this, politicians shoot themselves in the foot by trying to cover up wrongdoing, either their own or that of their subordinates. If (and I emphasize IF) Christie gets into legal trouble, it will probably be due to a coverup.

I don't agree with a lot of what Christie stands for, but I'm very skeptical of any suggestion that he knew about this beforehand. I say that because I think Christie is a very astute politician who would understand immediately closing traffic lanes going to New York (for instance) could easily blow up in his face.

On the other hand, I didn't think--for the same reason--that Anthony Wiener would show his wiener via Twitter and that the story was a fake. It wasn't, of course. It's possible that Christie pulled a Wiener, but it seems out of character for him to do something so dumb.
