You have four options
1)Networking
Find a career you really want to do and research that industry and particular companies you want to work for. Start networking with your current friends, family, and social media outlets such as Facebook or Linkedin to see if anyone knows anyone at those companies to get you an interview.

Often times companies have a referral program with current employees referring candidates for open positions. If you get a referral your application is usually weighted a bit higher than a typical candidate and is viewed by a recruiter oppose to automatically being weeded out by an application tracking system. Also the employee that recommended you will get a bonus if you are hired.

2)Get an entry level job.
Strategically apply at a company you wish to work at in the most basic entry level job to get your foot in the door. Demonstrate hard work and dedication. Take on additional tasks and see if you can shadow people in the position you wish to work in to gain skills in the area. Now if a job in that area opens you already work for the company, showed a strong work ethic, and know how to perform the responsibilities so you are more likely to get the job.

Some companies might even create a position for you if they see how much of a hard worker and asset you are.

3)Get more education
Go to school or training for some high demand skill. For instance IT and computer programming are in pretty high demand so after getting a degree or certification in that companies will come to you.

4)Start your own company.
Be your own boss and start a company. It isn’t an easy task but if you have a talent, product, or service to offer people you can start your own business. If you go this route I would advise against getting in debt if possible. Start small with little overhead such as working out of your garage until you build funds to get bigger.
