Facebook follow notifications?

So I recently "unfollowed" all my Facebook friends because I didn't know you automatically start following them and I didn't want to be a creep haha. Anyways, once I realized it messed up my whole newsfeed, I wanted to re-follow them. Will they get notified that I started following them? Will my timeline show that I started following them? I just don't want to seem creepy. Thanks in advance!

Of course you would automatically be following your Facebook friends. That is really common sense since you want to see what they have to say.

Follow them again. If these are your friends, you can explain what happened with the "unfollow" thing.
