Why did John Laurinaitis tell us how many Twitter followers he has and are you one of his followers?

Twitter being mentioned in WWE is getting annoying already.

NO. Johnny Ace only got his spot in the business because he is Road Warrior Animal's kid brother. Hi's in ring was mediocre at best. The only decent thing he did was invent the cutter

I don't know why he said how many followers he has, because I don't think anyone really cares...and heck naw, I'm definitely, 100%, NOT one of his followers.

Laurinaitis gets booed everywhere and the IWC rips him apart. Whether or not he actually does have "38,000" Twitter followers doesn't really matter. He just threw out that number because A) the WWE is pushing Twitter as the best thing ever, and B) to say "hate me if you want, I've got a lot of people interested in what I say anyway" to the people booing him.

The Dragon doesn't "tweet". Hmm, maybe I should...

That "trending worldwide" nonsense they keep yammering about on WWE TV is misleading. What they actually mean, but aren't saying, is "trending 'worldwide' in the WWE universe only". You know how the WWE spins things around to make it appear that the WWE is the "best/greatest/biggest/longest/richest/whatever" in anything they do. This is no different from back when they claimed RAW was the longest-running TV show still on the air. People kept proving them wrong so the WWE had to keep adding qualifiers to their claim, eliminating pretty much everything except TV wrestling shows, of which RAW IS the longest-running TV wrestling show still on the air in the U.S.

And yeah, the constant Twitter references on WWE TV are annoying.

Because WWE are under the impression that twitter actually matters for some reason.
