Questions regarding "kik" messenger thing?
Alright so I had heard of "KIK" before but had never used it. Early this morning, I got a DM on Twitter from a friend. They told me that they were deactivating their account on there, so if I had a kik to text them on there. I definitely didn't want to lose contact with them, so I read about it and decided to sign up. It said that it's totally free... so is that true? Is it safe? It seems like a nice little APP. I don't have my name on there or anything and it said no one can see your email or phone number (I didn't even enter my number at all). So it seems like "online texting" and seems pretty easy and legit. Is it all definitely safe? I don't plan on talking to random people... the only reason I got it was to keep in touch with this person. We only had Twitter to communicate, but now that they deactivated, I had to go to Plan B.

Also, is it definitely REALLY free? I have unlimited texting, but not unlimited data. I have 2.0GB per month to use and the cycle restarts on the 21st every month. I know it probably uses your data, so how much does it use up exactly? I just don't want to use a ton of data and go over my monthly limits because I don't want random, additional fees on the bill. Also, it said something about being able to see/read your call log and contacts - um... is that true? Does the APP "spy" on your personal phone business?

Should I be ok using this? Any/all info will be greatly appreciated!

its defo free haha KIK is great i use whatsapp these days but there both much the same

the only thing to watch is data usage if your sending pictures back and forth but then just be sure to be on wifi and your set !

the data use is entirely dependent on what you send but if just text then were talking kilobytes/mb at the most
