WIFI Internet Keeps Disconnecting?
This is my modem http://www.amazon.com/Arris-TM822G-T.../...
This is my router http://www.amazon.com/Medialink-Wire...r...
Anyways I have about 3 laptops on the same internet, and the other 2 connect fast and never disconnect, but my laptop always says connection limited and I disconnect randomly once every like hour. Basically I disconnect randomly off the internet for like 1 minute, sometimes it will take like 5 minutes to come back. And even sometimes I have to restart my whole pc just to reconnect. And it is really frustrating where Ill be on the pc for an hour, running smoothly and then bam, random dc, yet my home pc and 2 other laptops are working fine. It is extremely frustrating ever since I got this new router since the old one was extremely slow. But I dont think it is the router, I have no idea why the other laptops dont dc, only me. And theirs does not show connection limited.

This question is for you tech support lovers out there. Heres a good chance to be rewarded for it.

It could be an issue with the Wireless NIC card in your computer or it could be a software issue. It's usually the hardware.

If you but a cheap USB wifi dongle (they have them on monoprice.com & Buy.com & amazon.com) and try connecting through that, you can easily determine which is the problem. You could also replace the internal Wireless NIC, which isn't as easy, but I'll happily walk you through it if you'd like.

-edit-
What is the brand name and model number of the problematic computer?

Its usually the driver thats the problem. I find the issue to be recurrent. Go to control panel > device manager
From there locate your wifi driver right click then update software driver. If the other computers don't disconnect the issue lies with the laptops wifi hardware. There is this one model acer 5734z it has the craziest wifi sometimes it just wont connect for no apparent reason. Worst case Scenerio uninstall wifi driver then let the computer reinstall it .

Once i had a similar issue. A hack would be to find the windows update that came just after the issue started then uninstall the update and those that installed the updated after.
