Internet disconnecting, ethernet cable possible problem, after unplugging and replugging internet comes back?

i've tried the traditional steps of restarting my computer, holding the reset button, unplugging my modem for the fix but i'm curious if the issue is just the ethernet cable itself or is something else wrong.

periodically once or twice a day around 3-4am it happens or last night it happened at 6:50 pm, the solution seems to be fixed when unplugging the ethernet from my computer and putting it back in then it comes back online.

it has been a few days and now it has currently happened again, should I just need to replace my ethernet cable that goes directly into my computer? or is there something else I can do instead of replacing it.

I would say talk to the company sometimes my internet goes out and unplugging it from the source helps and it comes back on working 100% fine in a few minutes. I have century link. Hope I helped and best if luck :)xx
