not getting notifications on facebook. please help?

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that people were commenting on my pictures and commenting on other pictures after I had commented on them, but I didn't get any notifications.
I only got notifications when people liked my photos.
Then yesterday I stopped getting notifications about everything except when a friend accepts my request.
and I know people have been writing on my wall and commenting on my status and commenting on other people status's after me.
I tried to go into the help thing on fbook and it says that I should be able to see all of my notifications.
It's really annoying, and theres almost no point in facebook if I'm not really connected to people.
please help!!!

Go to your notifications page.

This can be found by clicking on your notifications button in the lower right hand corner.

Choose 'See All'

On the right hand side of the page it brings you to, you can turn on/off notifications.

Just make sure you check the boxes that say Photos, Feed Comments, Wall etc.
