Can someone help me with my site's SEO?
Hi there, I know this is a little cheeky, but I've spent so long on building my website and trying to get my head around SEO, but I'm still coming no where on google, is there any chance someone could possibly have a quick look at my site and give me some pointers. I want to rate high for searching Wedding Photography in Bolton http://www.sobey-photography.co.uk/

Hi I can do SEO. Basically pick your keywords so it may be 'wedding photography bolton' and then include this in your text. So include this line maybe two or three times in your about page. Also I would change your menu bar to white writing or something because its hard to see on a charcoal background. ideas reaction you will help with SEO.

I just checked your site with Website Auditor (an on-page SEO checker) and it says there are many 404 (removed) pages on your site. i would create a Google Webmaster account for the domain and remove those 404 URLs (in Google Index >> Remove URls).

Plus, since you're more of a local business (I figure), it may be a good idea to add your full address to the site, say in the footer. also, I'd claim your business on Google + Local and tie it to this website.

By the way, I hope nobody at google will actually take a look at this page of yours - http://www.sobey-photography.co.uk/links.html It's ok to sell advertising, but those advertising links should have a rel="nofollow" attribute. Otherwise it's against google guidelines.

In case you’ve certainly never been told the word Search engine optimization, please let me explain in brief what it's, what it does and just what it’s for.
SEO will be the abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. This can be a web page design approach that, whenever done successfully, draws good awareness from engines like google.

Hi Julian,

My name is Samuel from http://www.seosamuel.com. Had a quick look at your site and I will give you a few pointers on the On page SEO for the home page and you can apply the same theory to the other pages.

Please remove the cluster meta keywords tags as it is not doing much.

Try and create a description around the main keyword "Wedding Photography in Bolton" you want to rank for - for example, change the description on your home page from ""From Wedding Photography to Portrait Photography, Sobey Photography can help you capture those precious memories, based in Bolton and surrounding North West areas." to "From Wedding Photography to Portrait Photography.Sobey Photography offers wedding photography in bolton and surrounding North West areas", this is targeting the main keyword and other search related terms.

You could also go a step further and change title tags to "Sobey Photography - Portrait And Wedding Photography In Bolton"

Now write a compelling content on your home page and mention the main keyword "Wedding Photography in Bolton" depending on the content lenght but twice should be okay.

Next get some of your friends to talk about your website on facebook, twitter and all the major social bookmarking sites to increase your social signals and mentions.

Create a GWT account and submit your website.

Please note that this is by no means a complete and detailed check but this should get you started.

Best Regards
