Internet Running Slow?

My husband's laptop (Dell 6420 running Windows 7) internet has been horribly slow, so much so that it has almost become unusable. We have 2 other laptops on our network, and their internet runs great. The laptop itself is running okay, it's just the internet, I have done so much digging around, trying to figure it out. Normally I am good with computers, but I am baffled. Did a speed check,it seemed about right. Virus/spyware scan, nothing. Tried restarting it, tried disconnecting then re-connecting. The RAM and disk space is not an issue. If anyone has any possible solutions, it would be much appreciated.
