To ensure that your website be ranked within the list of 1st ten in the Google list, then you need to adopt Search Engine Optimization(SEO) on regular basis. There are two methods viz a. On-page optimization(improvement within the website) and b. Off-page Optimization(external improvement of website through marketing). If you can successfully implement these two methods, I am sure that the rank of your website will go up.

Guest blogging. Contextual links from related blogs are the most powerful method right now that works. It's better to own a private blog network, but if you can't afford that find blogs in your niche with a good Moz domain authority that accept guest posts. Then all you have to do is write an article and include a link back to your site. Be careful not to over optimize though, ie, use random keywords for your anchor text, NOT your main keyword.
