Why is Prestige delivery late?

Why is Prestige delivery late?
Ok So I ordered 3 items from Amazon and on my account it says delivered. I've been home all day and not once did I receive a knock at the door or anything. And yes the delivery date was for November 12 2013. I contacted Amazon and they refunded 2 of the items which I must re-order. The other they are just gonna send again since it was directly from them. But why would it say delivered if it wasn't?

It might take an extra day or to. That is why I say get it the next day.
